Inission shows the way to effective NPI

 

Effective NPI (New Product Introduction) is the first step in the value chain on the way to a successful product launch. Inission offers NPI services at all or manufacturing sites and the services include important steps such as analysis of components, design, testability, and manufacturing methods. The results of NPI services also form the basis for efficient industrialisation and manufacturing.

In the Stockholm region, the obvious choice for both NPI and manufacturing is Inission in Järfälla, which offers a dedicated NPI team and tailored capacity.

“We offer a prototype centre and a whole team of specialists ready to help our customers with all the included NPI services. We are also greatly assisted by Inission Innovate, our own development house that offers demanding industrial customers development services in electronics. Innovate is Inission’s own one stop shop development department that helps customers develop cost-effective, easy-to-manufacture, EMC-tested and component lifecycle safe products, says Project Manager Mats Persson.”

New investments in machinery.
“Recently a new Re-flow oven, SMT R320, was installed in the NPI line. The oven is of the same model as used in series production, this to ensure fast and correct transfer to production after prototype run. Also, a new Pick n’ Place machine of the Mycronic brand has been installed in the line with the new oven. The choice fell on a MY300DX-17, a well-established machine for NPI operations. Our new capacity also means that we can guarantee important machine time without disrupting other production.”

New set up – new possibilities
“Thanks to our investments, we can now manage complex boards with a larger number of components. With the new setup, we can also manage faster changeovers that increase the flow through the NPI process. All this to support our customers with fast prototypes and a report that summarizes product data and ideas for improvements for further development and industrialisation.”

Close to development departments
“A very important aspect for NPI is the local connection and physical proximity to customers. Inission has NPI sites not only in Stockholm but also in Malmö, Borås and Munkfors. Through proximity, we can easily meet, build important personal contacts, and help each other with the development of our customers’ products, concludes Mats Persson.”

Inission goes for digitalization with customer benefits, security, and efficiency in focus

 

Inission is stepping up its efforts to further develop its digital infrastructure. The goal is to be one of the leading players in the EMS market and focus is on increased customer benefits, security, and efficiency. Responsible for the strategy behind Inission’s digital journey is Chief Data Officer Charlotte Jansson, who sees great opportunities in the upcoming initiatives.

A strategy for the future
“Our strategy will ensure optimal data governance, ensure our data quality, and increase the possibilities for accurate and data-driven decisions. Data is a key asset that can drive significant business value, and it is crucial to maximize the potential of our data resources to be able to make strategic decisions and drive innovation. We are also working to create deeper collaborations within the group and promote a data-driven culture to identify new business opportunities and increase efficiency.”

Nasdaq sets new and higher demands.
“Inission’s continued growth journey also means a change of stock exchange listing from Nasdaq First North Growth Market to Nasdaq Stockholm Main Market. The change means higher demands on IT and Cyber Security and as a result of that, we have launched a SOC, Security Operational Center for the entire company.”
