At Ny Teknik’s 33-listan Live on December 6, the tenth winner of the Inission innovation award was crowned. About 350 participants were present and among them Sweden’s most promising startups, established tech profiles, venture capitalists and journalists.
In the final, three strong entries competed for SEK 1 million in development and manufacturing services from Inission. Funki with its innovative musical instrument adapted for people with disabilities, Vaquita Technologies with its monitoring system that measures water quality in real time and Caplyzer with its unique electrolyser technology that reduces the cost of green hydrogen production.
This year’s winner was announced by the jury with the motivation:
“This year’s winner has created an innovation with high feasibility and great social benefit. With their help, a significant step is taken towards an inclusive world and shows how technology can open up interaction between all people on equal terms. This achievementmakes Funki Instruments AB a worthy winner of Inission Innovation Award 2023.”
Maria Svahn, co-founder and CEO at Funki comments on the win:
– I was so incredibly happy and moved. This is not just our price, it is everyone’s price. Soon it will be easier for everyone to meet, be creative and do activities together, with or without disabilities. Funki creates community, joy and cohesion. In conclusion, I would like to give a tip to all start-ups; just push forward and face the consequences later. Also, be inquisitive, there is always someone who can help.
Together with Ny Teknik and Nordea Inission Innovation Award was this year held for the tenth time. The purpose of the competition is to help entrepreneurs and ideas to grow and thrive, but also to draw attention to the Swedish industry that manufactures electronic products.
