Inission Syd expands by 50% in Malmö
Inission Syd in Malmö now expands and gears up to meet increasing customer demands. The investment includes both expanding of the production area and new production equipment. The expansion will be ready for full scale production in September and involves an expansion of the production area by approximately 50% which will result in a total plant area of 5400 sqm, says Carl Lidén, Managing Director Inission Syd.
Need for more capacity
– For a long time, we have seen a need for more capacity. So far, we have solved it by allocating available capacity and by investing in equipment for more advanced production. With the new expansion, we have also created a more efficient production flow, which will increase our capacity and make us even more competitive.
Fully climate controlled.
– The new area will also be ESD-protected and fully climate-controlled, which creates the best possible conditions for electronics manufacturing. In connection with the expansion, several technology- and environment-oriented investments have also been conducted.
Security-class manufacturing
– In the new premises, we will also be able to offer security-classed manufacturing, something that is increasingly demanded by companies in the defence and security sector. The security adaptation takes place in collaboration with the customers and will be adapted to their needs.
Sustainable renovation and expansion
– We are also proud to have conducted the expansion in a sustainable manner. Among other things, we have reused building materials and created better insulation and higher energy efficiency. The new, more efficient production lines will also contribute to higher energy efficiency and sustainable manufacturing.
Opening in November
– During September, the move-in takes place, and on November the 7th we celebrate big with customers and suppliers. More details will follow shortly.
